Agricultural Engineering Services, PLLC

Dana C. Chapman, P.E. formed Agricultural Engineering Services, PLLC (AES) on July 1, 2005.  AES has met the requirements of the University of the State of New York Education Department to provide Professional Engineering Services of New York.  Dana Chapman has focused his career on providing technical expertise to the agricultural community to improve the quality of water leaving the farm operation.  He has performed or supervised work on comprehensive nutrient management plans, farmstead design, site selection, agricultural structural designs, manure handling and storage systems, manure digesters, feed storage and handling systems, waste water systems and assisted clients to meet CAFO requirements.

The long-range goal of AES is to be an effective engineering technical service company serving agriculture.   This is to be accomplished through steady debt free growth with reasonable rates and high quality service.  Client farms are spread across a large area, requiring staff to be located in many areas to provide effective service.   Construction drawings and specifications are completed by the engineer and transferred electronically for approval and publishing.

Agricultural Engineering Services combined with Dana’s experience has completed engineering projects for well over a two hundred agricultural clients since July, 2005.  AES’s capabilities rely on an experienced staff with good equipment and a procedure to produce high quality designs.  The work force is motivated and dedicated to see that these designs are implemented properly.   

Dana Chapman established AES with the knowledge and experience that projects had to be completed within budget as agricultural producers do not have resources to accommodate increase design or construction costs.   By reviewing the design with the owner prior to finalizing drawings and with having knowledge of agriculture, AES has been able to minimize redesign of projects.  AES has a working relationship with other Engineering and Architectural Firms on projects to ensure clients receive accurate services with time, designs, and costs taken into consideration.  AES has been selected the Engineering Firm of choice to be the lead engineers for the Alfred State College’s new Dairy Facility Expansion.  AES was selected due to the firm’s ability to meet strict schedules/deadlines that are set by the state.  

AES strives to establish a reputation as a team that meets the client schedules and stays within the client’s budget.
